Shower Pan Rebuild
When a shower pan needs to be replaced you may notice that the tile is lifting and the surface under the tile is very sandy and soft. Often the pan will not meet current local code and will need to be rebuilt. First the old tile must be picked up and all the old concrete and sand must be removed. A new sand base must be poured and a new rubber liner installed. Then a new cement base can be poured with a new drain. After this cures for 24 to 48 hours the new tile can be installed!
